Objectives

The objective of the Stellwerk Zollverein e.V organization is to support art and culture at the Triple Z area. This is realized in particular by putting the Stellwerk with its studio and residential rooms at the disposal of international artists for their artistic work - free of charge and for a set amount of months. In addition the organization supports the work of the artist during their stay at the Stellwerk financially and through payments in kind. The conditions of the scholarship will be outlined in an announcement. There will be different thematic emphasizes each year which need to be reflected by the artist. Art forms such as sculpture, object art, installation art, painting, drawing, graphic art and photography will be supported especially.

The objectives of the organization are:

to support innovative positions in fine arts
to support not yet established international artists
to support intercultural exchange
to set up new contacts between art and business

In order to ensure the support of high level projects, an independent jury, consisting of members of the Stellwerk organization as well as of art experts, is responsible for selecting the applicants.

Furthermore the organization arranges art and cultural events, which contribute to the further development of the Triple Z area amongst the industrial and cultural landscape of Zollverein and local artists.
